Our Standards
Supplement Hub is a B-Corp certified, clinician-curated supplement retailer based in Amsterdam, serving customers across Europe with premium, no-filler supplements from 150+ vetted brands. This page sets out how we decide what earns a place on our shelf, who does that work, and the standards behind every product and every article we publish.
How we choose what we stock
We carry 150+ premium brands and 3,000+ products. None of them are here by default. Every brand and every product is assessed against a consistent set of criteria before it is listed, and anything that fails is left off the catalogue rather than discounted into it.
We assess against:
-
Formulation quality and form. We look at the specific compound, salt, or standardisation used, and favour forms chosen for how well the body can take them up rather than the cheapest option that fits the label.
-
Clean formulations. We prioritise products without unnecessary fillers, binders, and bulking agents. “No fillers” is the single most common theme in our customer reviews, and it is a criterion at the buying stage, not a marketing line added afterwards.
-
Third-party testing. We favour brands that verify identity, potency, and purity through independent testing rather than self-declaration alone.
-
Manufacturing standards. We prioritise products made in facilities operating to recognised Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.
-
EU compliance. Every product and every piece of copy on this site is held to EU labelling and health-claim regulation, regardless of how a brand markets the same product elsewhere. Where a brand's own claims do not meet the EU standard, we do not repeat them.
-
Transparent labelling. We expect a brand to publish what is in the bottle, in what form, and at what dose, so a label-reading customer can make an informed decision.
Who does the curation
Curation is led by qualified practitioners and an expert buying team, not by an algorithm or by sales ranking. Supplement Hub sits within Functional Nutrition Group, which carries deep clinical and practitioner heritage across its brands, and that expertise informs what we choose to stock.
The people behind the standards include nutritional therapists, functional medicine practitioners, and product specialists who assess formulation and sourcing, alongside a dedicated compliance function that reviews all consumer-facing content against EU regulation before it is published. We describe these roles rather than naming individuals, because the standard is consistent regardless of who applies it.
Our quality review process
Every product moves through the same steps before it reaches the catalogue:
-
Brand assessment. We evaluate the brand's manufacturing standards, testing practices, sourcing, and track record.
-
Product-level review. Each product is checked for form, dose adequacy, formulation cleanliness, and label transparency.
-
Compliance review. All product descriptions, category copy, and editorial content are reviewed against EU Regulation 1924/2006 and related labelling rules before publication.
-
Ongoing review. Listings and content are revisited as formulations, evidence, and regulation change, so the catalogue stays current rather than static.
The same compliance discipline applies to everything we write. Our articles are produced to inform a discerning, label-reading reader and are held to the same EU standards as our product pages.
Our certifications
B-Corp certified (2023). B-Corp certification means our standards on social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability are assessed against an independent framework and built into how the company operates, rather than added to an about page. It is the clearest external signal that our ethics are structural.
Planet Mark. Our Planet Mark certification reflects an ongoing commitment to measuring and reducing our environmental impact.
Why this matters
A marketplace lists almost anything that can be sold. We do the opposite. The value we add is the filter: the work of vetting brands, checking forms and doses, holding everything to EU compliance, and removing what does not meet the standard. That curation is the difference between a search result and a shortlist, and it is the reason customers and practitioners trust us to make the call so they do not have to.
